Civic Ventures
Civic Ventures is a small group of political troublemakers devoted to ideas, policies, and actions that catalyze significant social change. We are serial innovators in the civic sphere who favor the kind of big ideas that challenge conventional thinking. Though we promote many progressive concepts, we’re not beholden to the traditional political framework of liberal versus conservative; an idea’s value and utility should be more important than its origin. By thinking, writing, and acting outside the realm of conventional political discourse, Civic Ventures works to drive the conversation and fundamentally alter the status quo in Seattle, Washington state, and the United States.
INET Oxford
The Institute for New Economic Thinking at the Oxford Martin School (INET Oxford) produces cutting-edge research aimed at building a fair, sustainable, and prosperous economy.
INET Oxford is an interdisciplinary research institute based in the University of Oxford’s Martin School. The Institute is comprised of scholars from across the social and physical sciences who are pioneering new methods to better understand and address urgent real-world challenges such as the climate crisis, inequality, and technological change.
Founded in 2012, INET Oxford today is one of the world’s leading centres for innovative economic scholarship, policy development, and the training of students and postdoctoral researchers in new economic methods.
Middle Out Center
The Middle Out Center is a new research and strategic narrative institute dedicated to replacing trickle-down economics with a policy agenda and narrative that recognizes that a thriving middle class is the primary cause of economic growth and is essential to democracy—the economy grows from the middle out, not the top down. The Middle Out Center champions policies that include, empower, and invest in working people to enable every American to fully participate in the economy.
